Everyone loved the costume . It fitted very well . I purchased a different hat along with gloves . The tray would not stay opened .I ordered this and it arrived as scheduled. It was too large. A write up said it ran very small so I ordered a medium and itwas much too large . It was a very cute costume and an extra small might have fit me but I did not have enough time to reorder so I had to return it.Maybe next time I will have better luck. I am 5 ft. tall and weigh about 100 lbs if this will help anyone else trying to order.It came quickly and was exactly what I ordered. The sizes do run a little small. I'm a size 2 and the Small size is very close and fitted. I could not get it on myself. Beautiful costume though.So cute! Absolutely perfectThis is a sexy and UNIQUE costume which is why I LOVE it, HOVEVER, there are a few issues to note about this costume:SIZE:This is the FIRST (out of over 20+ costumes that I own) that I AGREE when people say it runs small. They actually run 'defectively' small and the costume site that I ordered from *warned* this and suggested ordering a size up. I foolishly ignored the warning since I've read "runs small" so often in 'customer reviews' and have never had a problem. I don't want to be confusing but I want to offer the following details to be specific: I am 5'3 100 pounds and wear a size 2, so I usually wear an XS in costumes, SO, since the smallest this offers is a small, I figured that was a "size up", (thinking: 'a size small that runs small' would equal an XS) but NOPE- the small was too small!The original costume I ordered came in perfect condition (other than size) so I decided to exchange for a Medium, and that is when I had the next problem...QUALITY:The second costume arrived and the Medium fit perfectly (Medium fits size 2-4)- ok great- BUT the cigarette tray was broken, and the braid accents on the front of the corset were sewn crooked, AND there was a defect in the fabric on the skirt (like a big run/snag in the satin)... OK so that prompted me to give it a THIRD try and that one had no fabric runs, BUT it ALSO had crooked braids and a broken tray (luckily I hadn't sent the small one back yet), so I finally just did a switch for the good tray, and decided to live with the crooked braids. **sigh**Luckily I am a costume spaz and bought this super early for a costume party that we will be having. Since I haven't worn it yet, only tried it on- I can't comment on the durability/laundering, but it does feel well constructed (sewing seems strong)- so I am expecting it to hold up well and be able to be worn more than once.I WANT to give this 5 stars for how much I love it, but I think it has to lose one star for the sizing issue, which creates exhange hassles, and I feel it has to lose another star for quality control (2 out-of 3 costumes had broken trays, crooked braids, and 1 had a run)- seems crazy for a costume at this price.Bottom line: I LOVE the costume design and this looks exceptionally great with the matching hat (which is sold seperately). I highly recommend ordering with plenty of time to exchange in case of problems- and do 'expect' to have some (I have read MANY other reviews that complained about quality issues too). Probably would be a good idea to check the return policy with the specific seller before purchasing this one. All-in-all I don't appreciate the hassle (especially for a costume at this price-point) BUT I feel it was worth it for such a unique costume! Since I always dress my family in a theme: I got my hubby a Zoot Suit (black and white pin stripe) to go with this, and our 2 little ones will be a gangster and flapper girl- the costumes make an awesome 40's posse!I wish the online description had noted that the package doesn't include hat or gloves.The cigarette box was broken from being flattened, I assumed when they shipped.Otherwise, cute costume. it is a corset with hooks all down the back and separate tulle / satin-like skirt.Just a touch on the small size, but not too of an adjustment.
